We will certainly miss Harry's/Bob's help and attention as he was always there to give help and advice when needed. His exit marks the end of what was deemed "the magnificent seven" a formed male group comprising Harry himself, Bob Thatcher, Bob Bridle, Ron Butt, John Norsworthy, Roy Stoneman, and Gerry Ward, who met every 3 months per year (i.e. quarterly) for an evening out at a local pub for a meal, etc., to keep associated and in touch. We all worked for the same firm (namely Film Cooling Towers [1925] Ltd.) and developed a lasting rapport. These quarterly get-togethers started January 1999 and continued until September 4th 2024 this being the last one prompted by Harry's unfortunate stroke December 31st 2024. This final gathering was our 85th one with just 5 of the original 7 members there then, now regretfully 4 with Harry's loss ! Seemed to be time to call it a day with just 4 of us left and with the issues that accompanies ageing. Kathleen and I reiterate our loss and deep sadness at Harry's demise, and wish Fran, Michelle, Nancy, Sean and all his family, the ability and strength to come to terms with being without this stalwart man who will surely and sorely be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known him !!
