For me, Den was a voice of calm authority in very troubled times. His support was truly outstanding. Despite all his achievements he was always modest and ready to listen. A truly remarkable man who will be greatly missed.
Professor Roderick Muttram
I am grateful to have known him as both a friend and a colleague, but above all, as someone to admire for his many talents and the way he quietly and without fuss gave them to the Nation. He was a Titan: I borrow from Shelley: "Neither to change, nor falter, nor repent; This, like thy great glory DEN, was to be Good, great and joyous, beautiful and free; This is alone Life and joy, ----."
Mr David Ball
We had only known David for about 20 years, but during that time we came to respect and enjoy his courteous and generous hospitality and quiet good humour. Out thoughts are with Jenna and the family.
Mr & Mrs Ken & Sue Berry
Den Davies made insightful and seminal contributions to defence and to many other areas of public and academic life. He was also a good friend and a delightful colleague who will be much missed by me and my wife. Our thoughts are with his family.
Mr Graham Jordan
It has been a privilege to known Den, whom my wife and I will remember as an awesomely talented man and a hospitable friend. Our thoughts are with his family.
